To Know Christ personally & to make Him known in our families & communities through everyday living.
Our amazing family of regulars and part-time volunteers are committed to helping others as we are motivated by Jesus’ love for us. We are here for those who are not yet here. We take our convictions and turn them into action. And guess what, we even have an invitation for you to sit at the table of Jesus. The small SDA community @ SAA exists for the local community here in Colorado Springs. Think you would be a good fit? Come meet with us this Sabbath morning for worship and get more info on upcoming opportunities to serve the Springs! Why not bring a friend?
In the early 1980’s Colorado Springs Central Church planted a small congregation of Sabbath keeping Christians in the Deerfield Hills Rec Center. This Church became known as the Colorado Springs South Seventh-day Adventist Church due to the South East location it was planted at in that time. Since then our congregation has relocated to Pikes Peak Park serving that area with Revelation & Daniel Seminars leading many to know Jesus as their personal Friend & Savior. Currently we are meeting in the Springs Adventist Academy Chapel at 5410 Palmer Park Blvd 80915, not far from Palmer Park & Powers. We are known as the SDA church at SAA.

1. What does Adventist mean?
a: An individual or individuals who are awaiting an event or time of something amazingly awesome with great expectancy. In our case, we are awaiting the second coming of Jesus to to Reconcile His people physically with Himself and with our loved ones who are asleep in the graves. What a Day that will be!
2. Why do you worship on Saturday and not Sunday?
a: In the book of Genesis 2:2,3 we read that God set aside the seventh-day as a holy day of rest for all mankind. Also in Leviticus 23:2,3 we read that Sabbath was a day of holy gathering aka worshipping together. Jesus said the Sabbath was made for all mankind and He also claimed to be the Lord of the Sabbath in Mark 2:23-28.Therefore, we choose to gather for formal worship on the Lord’s Day.
3. Was Sabbath done away with?
a: We don’t find anything explicitly saying that His Day was done away with. What we do find as we read in the gospels as well as the Book of Acts is that Jesus and the early Church remained Sabbath keepers even after their spilt from the Jewish religion of their day. We just want to follow Jesus’ example.
4. Does South Church accept non-Adventists into their worship and fellowship?
a: Absolutely!
5. Do you have a religious creed? No, we are a movement following the light that’s been revealed and still learning more. We do not want to be stuck but would rather advance in more truth as the Spirit reveals it.
6. How is one saved?
a: by the gift of God’s grace through faith in Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior. Repentance is a gift from God that is accepted as we are led by experiencing His goodness.(Ephesians 2:8,9 & Romans 2:4)
7. What else do you believe?
a: Check out our beliefs by visiting www.Adventist.org
